      Why We Go Abroad

A fair number of young people in my country go to spend time living abroad for different purposes. In most cases they go for study in their special subject,or to leam and get

more practice in the language of that country.Others go to work there, either as part of their training or because they can get better pay.

A lot of people are satisfied with just learning or working;they go to classes or earn money and thats enough. They get to know very little about the country itself;its interesting places, its scenery and its history, what sort of ideas the people have and how they live.

If I went abroad,ld travel around the country as much as I could and try to get to know as many people as possible, and ld hope to make some real friends.

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the importance of reading ability and how to develop it. You should write at least 120 words but no more than180 words.

I am keen lovers of books of note, be it a novel, an autobiography or a poetry. At this moment, I d like to introduce. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Harari, a long time bestseller in all online bookstores and a high-rated masterpiece among readers around the globe.

I think that reading is indispensable to our growth. As I read through the pages, I knew much about how our ancestors collected raw food, built residence, conducted water, made weapons, which all are to ensure survival and reproduction, and how they become God from an insignificant species in the animal kingdom at that times. Reading experiences such as: these equip me with knowledge, broaden my horizon, and always update my view of the world.

In all, reading is importance of all of us, especially college students. So it is high time that we read on are a regular basis, say, one book a week. And only in this way can we live up to the social expectations of becoming socialist successors.

The Internet has penetrated every aspect of daily life and exerted a huge impact on our work and study. For example, Microblogs and Wechat are two forms of new media. Various people, regardless of their age, gender or background, are involved in creating their own microblogs and using Wechat.

There has been much controversy over whether the new technology is a boon or a bane. Some people believe that the Internet is a great asset. Modern technology considerably alters the way people communicate with each other. Also, people can now acquire useful information online with a click of the mouse. However, there is a growing concern about the potential drawbacks of the Internet, especially in terms of personal security. For example, WeChat may expose one’s location to strangers by positioning function, cheat one’s friends by faking identity, and lose one’s money in the electronic wallet.

Owing to the accelerated pace of contemporary life, people’s work and life are increasingly confined to a narrow space. However, in face of new technology, we should be prudent. One should make sensible use of technology, being a master rather than a slave of it.
